On-site Seated Chair Exercise Classes suitable for ALL ages and abilities every Monday at 2pm.

Venue: Hermitage Village Hall,  Pinewood Crescent, Hermitage, Thatcham RG18 9WL

Suitable for:

  • Seniors
  • Wheelchair Users
  • Those who have been sedentary and want to ease back into exercise gently
  • People with underlying health conditions (eg: arthritis, ME, MS, Fibromyalgia, COPD) Those in rehabilitation from illness/operations
  • Anyone who wants to improve their physical and mental health in the comfort of their own home

These fun sessions to some popular tunes, show exercises from front & side views and offer different levels to follow according to ability. An hour is allowed for the whole session, with an intro, followed by around 45 minutes of exercise consisting of:

  • A warm up routine
  • Mobilising Exercises
  • Aerobic Exercises
  • Strengthening Exercises
  • Cool down
  • Stretch
  • Relaxation/Visualisation
  • Revitaliser

Sessions are at a cost of £4 on a ‘pay as you go’ basis, which is payable on the door.

    I use a mobility scooter and if the weather is good I can attend on my own and be independent – these classes are a great asset to the village.
    My doctors says these classes are good for me and that I should keep doing them. They are really good value as well.

    This class was recommended to me by my doctor, and I first thought ‘what good is exercise for a 92 year old’. But now these classes are very important to me as they have helped me so much, I hope they will continue for a long time.
